Say Hello to Spring with These Fun Children's Activities
Spring is here! Yay!!! It’s time to get outside and take advantage of the nicer weather and warmer temperatures. Whether you live in NYC, LA or elsewhere in the country your kids probably love any types of outdoor activities. Here are a couple of our favorite ways to celebrate spring with your little ones:
Check out a children’s museum
If it’s still a little too cold for outdoor activities, then check out a local children’s museum. Both the Brooklyn Children’s Museum and the Children’s Museum of Manhattan offer amazing free classes and events and so does the Zimmer Children’s Museum in LA.
Celebrate National Cherry Blossom Festival
Introduce your kids to local cherry blossom festivals around the country and teach them all about this Japanese tradition of welcoming spring with these beautiful pink flowers. Or make it a day trip from NYC and take your kids to the Cherry Blossom festival in DC.
Participate in a local Earth Day Event
Earth Day isn’t until April 22nd but it’s definitely worth it putting it on your calendar. Most major cities host fun Earth events that are kid friendly and teach the next generation about the importance of taking care of our planet. Find out more about NYC Earth Day events here.
